Holiday Movie Extravaganza!

I am obsessed with watching holiday movies during Christmastime. This year, I have not watched one single regular, non-holiday movie since before Thanksgiving!! Here are all the movies I've been watching and will be watching for the next week or so.

Oops, I forgot—there are a few more! Meet John Doe is part of my Gary Cooper Classics DVD set, so it's not sitting with the rest of my Christmas movies and I didn't see it in time to include it with my pretty picture collages above. So it gets its own picture:

And Miracle on 34th Street is hiding in my DVD player now, so I didn't see it either. It gets its own picture too:

And if I can fit it in, I shall also watch The Thin Man since it has Christmas scenes:

Happy Birthday, Walt Disney!

One of my very favorite humans would have turned 111 today if he had lived—Walt Disney. He created and inspired so many of the things that are near and dear to my heart: Donald Duck, Disneyland, Sleeping Beauty, the list goes on and on. If you ever want to know what an absolute amazing man he was, I highly suggest the documentary, Walt - The Man Behind the Myth. I cry every time I watch it because he's just so creative and inspirational—and he loves life!

I don't care how trendy typewriters are nowadays, I still love them! I even have my great-grandfather's old Smith Corona:

I'm not luddite enough to actually use it (maybe I would if it had a new ribbon!), so I just put it out on display in my home.

Typewriters just conjure up images of days gone by and sassy stenographers and wisecracking reporters for me, so that's why I heart them.
