Welcome to le blog d’amz! Yes, I know, the name is a blatant rip off of Le Blog de Betty, but I couldn’t think of anything original to name it. However, the name does make sense for me to use because during my first trip to Paris (before I could speak any French), my sister and I would just add “le” in front of everything – “le street”, “le mom”, etc. Oh, funny Americans. My sister has always been the Francophile in the family, but after that 2000 trip to Paris, a 2001 trip to Disneyland Paris, and my sister making me watch "Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain", I was hooked on France as well. After one quarter of French, I can say fun things like “Je suis Americaine” and “J’ai soif” and “Ou sont les toilettes?” Someday, I will continue my study of the French language because one of my goals in life is to speak as many foreign languages as possible.

So, besides all thing French (including French blogs like Le Blog de Betty, The cherry blossom girl, Pandora, and Le monde de Tokyobanhbao), I also love, love, love the 1920s and 1930s. The movies, the music, the style – everything! Of course, it’s hard not to also enjoy the 1940s up through the early 1960s – pretty much if it’s vintage, chances are that I like it. But my great loves are definitely the 20s and 30s.

This will probably be a fairly image heavy blog.  I pretty much just decided to start it so I could talk about myself and the things I like and show pretty pictures and say “Look at this, isn't it amazing?!”
